M. Michelle Aucoin graduated cum laude from Mitchell Hamline School of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota in 2017. Prior to attending law school, Michelle gained 20 years of business experience working in five different industries as an Executive Assistant for high-level leadership. She received her bachelor’s degree from Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts. While Michelle’s focus in law school was Elder Law and Federal Indian Law, she quickly gravitated towards civil litigation and worked on diverse personal injury cases at three local law firms prior to opening her own practice in March of 2021. She recently was awarded the 2020 “Going the Distance” award from New Mexico Legal Aid for her tenacious volunteer work on behalf of underprivileged clients. Michelle brings emotional and analytical intelligence from client introduction to courtroom advocacy. She is a member of the New Mexico Trial Lawyers Association.
Michelle has been a Santa Fe, New Mexico resident since 1995. For the past 18 years she has shared life and travel with her wife Jennipher and their two dogs. She is a long-time Iyengar Yoga practitioner who loves to oil paint and bake bread.
